Working at Amazon Jobs: XL Warehouse Associate makes you an XL Warehouse team member. The Amazon XL Warehouse team is responsible for handling big stuff and huge orders. This team handles unique and heavy weighing orders (over 50 pounds) such as big TV screens, furniture appliances, and various other stuff. You will receive a before joining the team which will cover basic stuff such as using technology to handle heavy bulk items. You may receive other training from time to time. It doesn’t matter if you have worked with heavy packages or you have an experience in this department, you will receive proper training on-site. You may also receive training as a heavy equipment operator, using powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as a pallet driver, or forklift.

Most of the time you will work as a power equipment operators to get orders ready for delivery to our customers. But sometimes you will be needed at the warehouse floor of Amazon fulfillment centers, sortation centers, or delivery stations. There you will work with other teams to tackle those hands-on items that need expert handling before being loaded onto the delivery trucks and sent along the delivery route.

Package Handling: The main responsibility of delivery station workers is to unload, sort, and load huge and big delivery packages on delivery trucks.
Inventory Management: They are also responsible to assist with tracking inventory levels and organize warehouse so that nothing gets confused.
Quality Control: They have to make sure that all packages delivered to Amazon customers are intact, and labeled accurately when loaded onto the trucks.
Safety Protocol: Make sure that all safety protocols are followed and all equipment are used safely.
Teamwork: Teamwork is the backbone of any workplace. You will be working closely with other Amazon employees, managers, and supervisors with one goal of productivity and smooth workflow.
Shifts and Flexibility: Working at an Amazon delivery station sometimes requires you to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Duties and Key Responsibilities as XL Warehouse Associate

Operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) that may reach the heights up to 35 feet.

Receiving, sorting, and putting away heavy and bulk inventory.
